The Park

Jalen just loves the park now... he especially enjoys the slide, and going up the stairs over and over again... here he is climbing back up the slide (with Daddy's help).

Sandpit

Here he is in his new sandpit from Aunty Tamsyn and Uncle Sasha for his birthday (we gave it to him early)... he was very serious about it but seemed to enjoy it!

Little Man

We are enjoying Jalen so much. He's lots of fun and makes us laugh. Here he is in his new 'boardies'... LOVES being in the car with Daddy playing with the steering wheel, and everything around him!!

Family

Motorbikes

Jalen absolutely loves motorbikes... any kind. He likes to go to the garage with daddy and just sit on the motorbikes. Here he is in Laos sitting on the mini bikes...

First hair cut

We cut Jalen's hair off when we got to Laos... it's been so much better and easier (and people call him a boy now!) He quite liked the clippers, he seemed quite relaxed!

Sharing

Hudson was so good with Jalen... here they are in the kitchen at the Hillier's home in Laos, sharing a banana... i'm pretty sure Jalen ate most of it!!

Thailand

How annoying

Jalen has started sleeping like this, sideways in the bed... out of the covers EVERY night! It's lots of fun for Daz and I... he wakes up because he's cold, so we put him in his sleeping bag and he doesn't sleep well because he loves to sleep on his tummy and it's too restrictive! Joy!!

Fathers Day

For Fathers Day, Daz got breakfast in bed, then we headed into the city, wandered around the vic markets then over to the Telstra Dome for an AFL match... it was a great day!

Beach Boy

Jalen at Byron Bay. He seemed to enjoy the beach and liked eating the sand but didn't like the water at all.... I guess it was too cold!

Bucko

Jalen's first time on a horse. Here we are on my horse Bucko. I've had him since I was 14 (yes, a long time)... also, my new haircut (Heather inspired me!) xx

Nana & Papa's

Last week Jalen and I headed up to the sunshine at Mum and Dads for the week. Jalen was getting over the flu and I needed a break and the warm weather. We had a great week. Here's Jalen enjoying being in 'short sleeves'

MY Daddy

When Daz gets home after work each day, Jalen just won't leave him alone... here he is in his favourite spot, up on the couch with Daddy.

Fun Times

I love the photo of Jalen laughing. It's great when he wakes up from a big sleep happy and fun! Makes the hard times worth while.

Clapping

Jalen's favourite thing at the moment is to do something really simple and non eventful, then clap for himself... makes me laugh every time!

Sleeping

Jalen has been 'playing' in his cot for a while after I put him down for his naps each day. It's quite funny, I can hear him banging his dummy on the bars of the cot, or laughing and talking to his teddy bears... the other day I walked in to find him up the top of his cot, out of his blankets, asleep with his head on his snow leopard... couldn't resist taking a couple of shots. He is growing up!

Jeans for Genes day

I thought i'd take some pics of Jalen in his Jeans on 4 August. He's 9 months old now!

The boys

Our friend from Sydney, Ken, came down for the weekend of Jalen's dedication. It was great to catch up with him after so long and just hang out together.

Our cousin Steve was also here over the weekend because he was staying with us for 2 weeks doing his first teaching prac at Daz's school... we had so much fun together and he was such a breeze to have around. We miss him!

Mum & Dad

It was really great to have Mum and Dad for the week over Jalen's dedication. I had lots of fun taking them places (mostly the shops - sorry Dad hehehe) and really appreciated the help and company. Jalen only took about half a day and he was all smiles whenever he saw them and loved spending time in their bed at 6 am when Mummy and Daddy wanted to sleep in some more... Thank you! The time went very fast though and before we knew it we were dropping them off at the airport.

Jalen's Dedication

Jalen was dedicated on Saturday 28 July 2007 at Living Waters Church. It was a great day. We had our cousin Steve down from Cooranbong doing a prac at Daz's school. My parents came down from Lismore for the week, Daz's parents came for the day as did his Brothers, sister-in-laws, sister, niece's, nephews, and Aunty Rainy. We even had a friend from Sydney - Ken.

Aunty Wendy

Wendy came down to Melbourne last week and we went over to see her at her brother Steve's and Krista's house. It was her first time meeting Jalen. It was really good to see her and Cuba. He's getting so big.

Clever Boy

Jalen is crawling!! He is still wobbly but certainly mobile and since being home this afternoon has been into everything he's not supposed to... plugs, cords, remotes etc... I have mixed feelings about this new mobility but it is exciting to see!

Play Time

We spent this weekend in Horsham with Chub and Nicky, Isaac, and Olivia. Daz and Chub went riding on Sunday to test out the new KTM 250 with the Honda 250 and had a great time. Isaac went to play at his Nana and Pa's and Nicky, myself, Olivia and Jalen stayed home (Nicky was not well with the flu). Jalen and Olivia played very well together (except if Jalen got too close he was a bit rough).

Musician

Jalen absolutely loved Scas and Rob's piano. He was happy to sit for ages and bang away. Here he is with Aunty Rob.

Uncle Col

Wow, what a great mum Aunty Heather will make some day soon??? (come on, I have to try!!) Jalen enjoyed spending time with everyone while we were in Cooranbong and we all had the best time with Scas, Rob, Col, Heather, Jas, Julz, and Caleb.
